Valedictory
The conference came to a conclusion with the valedictory ceremony
that was graced by Dr. Ashok Amrohi, Counsellor, Indian Embassy, Doha.
Mr Ashok Kumar, The Principal, The Indian High School, Dubai, one
of the oldest and the largest school in the gulf, felicitated the
chief guest, Dr. Ashok Amrohi.

Dr Farooq Ahmed Wasil thanked all those who made the conference successful.
Dr. Ashok Amrohi, giving the valedictory speech and was at his humorous
best while touching upon -
- Sensitive parent-child relationship
- Students as change agents, schools
and educationists as catalysts
- Commendable contributions made
by the schools to the community and society
- The praise-worthy efforts of
the Council that is striving all the time to give its best.

It was very touching to see the gesture of the Council in extending
the gratitude to all who made the conference a success as they were
given mementos.
Mr. M M Joshi thanked the chief guest, Dr. Ashok Amrohi, government
authorities of Qatar, H.E. Mr. Ranjan Mathai, the Indian Ambassador,
Mr. Ashok Ganguly, Chairman CBSE, the resource persons for the workshop
Prof T V Rao and Dr. Gopal Mahapatra, the Indian Schools in Doha for
all the hospitality and cooperation, and specially the management
of Ideal Indian School for hosting and all the participating Principals.
He had a special word of praise for Mr. Ainsley Edgar, the Principal,
Ideal Indian School for his calm, collected and outstanding leadership
in organizing the entire event.
As per the tradition of the Council, the secretary of the Council,
Mr. M M Joshi, the Principal of The Indian School, Muscat took over
as the Chairperson of the Council for the year 2002-2003. Mr. Ainsley
Edgar, Principal of the Ideal Indian School, Doha has been elected
as the Secretary of the Council and Mr. V Gopalan, the Principal,
New Indian School, Bahrain as the Treasurer. |
