Why
do students everywhere like the Notes |
They are organized in the same
way as that of the textbook - Chapterwise as well as Topicwise |
The Notes are very concise
- very rarely is a topic lengthier than 3-4 pages |
There are several study aids
- easy-to-use tables, diagrams,
flowcharts, interactive maps, keydates, charts, etc, that
are not present in textbooks |
They explain concepts and provide
exam-relevant questions and answers |
The Notes are peppered with
teachers' comments, which are updated regularly |
Students can contribute suggestions
to add to the Notes, if they feel anything can be explained
differently |
Are
these Notes sufficient? |
| Well,
yes, but only if you do not believe in interaction. Most people,
however, acknowledge that without teacher interaction, online
testing or the ability to get help, even the best notes are
not useful enough. If we felt these Notes were sufficient, we
would have printed a book! To put it differently, if all it
required to perform well was mearly to go through a good book,
one would never need to go to school! Sorry, these Notes are
great, but not enough. If you are tempted to 'borrow' a friend's
printed or downloaded compassbox Notes, go ahead - they are
just a foundation for the intense interaction the course provides
throughout the year. |
